
The Deputy Rector (Administration) plays a vital role in assisting the Rector with administrative functions to ensure the smooth operation of the institution. This office oversees key areas such as finance, welfare, labour relations, conflict resolution, infrastructure maintenance, and student affairs. Additionally, the Deputy Rector (Administration) is responsible for identifying and addressing operational challenges in these areas and providing solutions for continuous improvement.

Core Responsibilities of the Deputy Rector (Administration)
1. General Administration
- Oversee staff recruitment, discipline, and administrative committees to ensure efficient management of human resources.
2. Financial Oversight
- Authorize expenditures within approved limits and ensure financial discipline in administrative operations.
3. Conflict Resolution
- Address and resolve disputes arising from college projects, staff, students, and labour-related issues.
4. Maintenance of Structures & Equipment
- Ensure strict implementation of maintenance schedules for both fixed and movable assets.
- Oversee the usage and maintenance of the institution’s vehicles.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and aesthetically appealing campus environment.
5. Medical Services
- Monitor and improve the quality of medical services provided to staff and students.
6. Security & Safety
- Supervise campus security and the activities of the fire prevention unit.
- Oversee the issuance of gate passes for movement of college-owned equipment and ensure their return.
7. Labour, Union, and Staff Welfare Matters
- Strengthen relations between management and staff unions to promote harmony.
- Oversee conflict resolution involving unions, staff, and students.
8. Pensioners’ Welfare
- Address protocol, liaison, and requests from pensioners’ associations.
9. Student Affairs
- Supervise the administration of student affairs, ensuring their welfare and support systems are in place.
- Ensure the provision of essential amenities in student hostels and campus facilities.
10. Staff Schools
- Oversee and monitor the Management Committee of the APN.
11. Other Responsibilities
- Perform any additional duties assigned by the Rector to enhance the smooth administration of APN.
